More than 50% of the population of India is involved in agriculture. Many of those farmers are trapped in cycles of debt and poverty thanks to unfair labor practices. This has led many farmers to take their own lives out of frustration and desperation. Many of them do so by drinking the pesticides they use to farm. This documentary by Deepa Bhatia tells the story of some of these farmers, as well as the families they left behind.
