Rights4Girls launched an online campaign asking for media outlets to stop the use of the word “child prostitute.” Rights4Girls states that “Simply put, there is no such thing as a child prostitute. There is no difference between paying to rape a child and raping a child; all victims of child sex abuse should be treated the same way.”
Rights4Girls is a human rights organization based in Washington, D.C. that is working to “end sex trafficking and gender-based violence in the U.S.” To learn more about Rights4Girls, please click here.
