Help Former Restavek's Prepare for School
Give much-needed school supplies for children formerly trapped in domestic servitude
Nick Grono, the current CEO, was the inaugural CEO of the Walk Free Foundation. During his tenure, Walk Free built a global movement with over five million supporters, launched the first Global Slavery Index and established the Freedom Fund with Humanity United and the Legatum Foundation. The Freedom Fund was founded on the premise that philanthropy and program efforts in the antislavery movement were fragmented. Individual actors often worked in isolation and missed the opportunity to create lasting change. Consequently, the Freedom Fund's founding partners - some of the world's most innovative philanthropic organizations - came together to create the first global, integrated antislavery donor fund in December of 2013.
The Freedom Fund is an ambitious seven-year effort to raise and deploy more than $100 million to combat modern-day slavery. The Fund will target specific areas using a 'Hotspot' funding model. It will also fund innovation through thematic program interventions, strengthening impact across multiple regions.

The Fund raises the capital and facilitates the knowledge-sharing needed to bring about a world free of slavery by the year 2020.
